Let's Chat About Kaftans - A Note On Sizing
I asked Devin of My Twin Lens Photography to help me show off the movement & colors in my one of a kind dyed kaftans. You can see her blogpost about our shoot here where she showcases our full lookbook.
These kaftans are freeing, soft and dreamy. Definitely fit all of my needs for 2020 looks as they make me feel amazing while also allowing max comfort (aka secret pajama vibes). A lot of people ask if I wear my kaftan dress out and about, the answer is absolutely yes! While I wear one quite a bit around the house I do dress mine up to wear out with my favorite gold clogs by Bryr Studo and whatever giant earrings I'm swooning over at the moment.
I also get a lot of questions about fit so let's go over that really quick. Kaftans are free size, you can view the measurements here. When I measure garments for Ravel I lay them out flat on a table to get the 'laid flat measurement' and measure across the bust & full length from top to bottom. This has been the most successful way for me to find my own best size when shopping online and how a lot of vintage clothing stores show sizes since commercial sizing is so unreliable. I recommend finding an item in your closet that fits you how you like or is a similar style to what your shopping to take the flat measurements and compare. Need help with sizing etc??
